Spencer Diehl is a Robotics Software Engineer in the Aerial and Orbital Image Analysis group. He completed his MS in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University, with an emphasis in robotics, mechatronics, and autonomous systems. Previous to joining JPL he was a Staff Software Engineer in the flight software group at Maxar Technologies where he worked on simulation testbeds for the NASA OSAM-1 mission.
His interests span all areas of electro-mechanical and software engineering, for which robotics is a natural application space. His particular interests include motion control, optimization, machine vision, and algorithms for autonomous operation.
