The Robotic Actuation and Sensing Group designs, implements, and maintains advanced electronic systems for robotic actuation and sensing technology for NASA and other government agencies. Specifically, this includes:
- Development of hardware architectures for sensing and actuation of robotic control systems for applications within NASA, DoD, and the commercial sector.
- Performance of lifecycle engineering of robot electronics systems, including: system engineering, prototyping, integration and testing, support equipment development, and maintenance.
- Design, development, implementation, and the environmental qualification of actuation, sensing, and robotic control hardware systems in support of JPL flight and research projects.
